Brazil Bedlam: Largest-in-decades protests sweep country

Many mainstream media outlets are telling us this is all about the “bus fare”. It is not! This is what they want everyone to think. This is against a bill called ‘Pec 37’ which gives immunity against the law to every congressman in Brazil. This is also about the poor educational system, nearly non-existent healthcare, and for the corruption in the country which got sky high. A great deal of the nations residents are also fed up with the lavish spending on upcoming global sporting events in the form of the 2014 World Cup and 2016 Summer Olympics, while the plight of the common people across the country is being systematically ignored.

Mass protests continued throughout Brazil on Monday, with hundreds of thousands of demonstrators converging in Sao Paulo, Rio de Janeiro, Belo Horizonte, the capital of Brasilia and other cities. Protests initially began last week following a government announcement of an increase in public transportation costs, which brought out students and young workers and led to more than 250 arrests.

I think the “Anarchy…” Signholder should go back to her classroom and revisit the meaning of anarchy; anarchy equals chaos, not freedom!
