US Congress calls for sanctions against Argentina over growing ties with Iran

Lito Borello, a former Coordinator of Urban Policies in the city of Buenos Aires, defines the recent move by the United States Congress calling for sanctions against Argentina over its increasing ties with Iran “a new threat of Washington” against countries’ sovereign decisions.

The United States has no constitutional or moral authority whatsoever to punish 3rd party nations for how they conduct diplomacy and business with each other. Sanctions do nothing but make the U.S. government look like a spoiled baby throwing his rattler out of the pram. Grow up Congress, 85% of the country DOESN’T LIKE YOU.
