Adios, America: Renouncing Citizenship Hits Record Numbers

This huge spike in people calling it quits on the United States is not entirely about taxes. It is about a growing number of people who are fed up with the internal destruction of the great country they once knew. It is about people not wanting to live in a rapidly evolving police state where the U.S. Constitution has become a piece of toilet paper. It is about 20 and 30-somethings who are absolutely sick of competing with 100 other people for a $10 per hour part-time job with no job security or hope for a better future.

There’s been a six-fold increase in renouncing citizenship, and the number of Americans who made that step in the second quarter of this year comes to around 1,130, according to the IRS. Is there a max exodus of Americans wanting to avoid paying taxes? RT’s Meghan Lopez asks correspondent Erin Ade to explain the number.
