The World’s Fastest Bicycle – 133.78 kph (83 mph)

A partnership between two universities in Amsterdam has devised the fastest man-powered machine in the world, which under the operation of a fit cyclist is capable of reaching a blistering 134 kph or roughly 83 mph on smooth surface highway. With the exception of some parts of Texas which now allow speeds up to 85 mph, that is faster than any legal speed limit for automobiles in the USA!

Montreal and Mount Royal, we once did a downhill run on our bikes when we were young and foolish. The bearings were literally smoking as the oil burned off… :-)
