Decades of Stop & Frisk: Is the end in sight?

Stop & Frisk is a controversial New York Police Department policy that came into the spotlight in the 12 years under Mayor Michael Bloomberg. New York now has a new mayor in Bill de Blasio, who was elected on a platform of improving the way the practice is used. De Blasio’s new police commissioner also promises change. But with a record of advocating more aggressive police tactics – as well as backing the practice in the past – are the new officials running New York City really going to turn words into action and reverse decades of mistrust towards the NYPD?
