New Yorkers Rally Against Fracking

As Gov. Andrew Cuomo (D-N.Y.) prepared to give his State of the State speech on Wednesday, protesters gathered in Albany to demonstrate against the potential use of hydraulic fracturing – or fracking – in New York. Over 1,000 people attended the rally against the controversial way of extracting natural gas from the ground, calling on the governor to ban fracking in the state’s fertile Marcellus Shale, citing environmental and health concerns. RT’s Marina Portnaya attended the protest and brings us the latest.
