The Apple Conspiracy: Are Apple Products Made To Break?
Is Apple, Inc. deliberately manufacturing its products to constantly need replacing, seemingly on an almost annual basis? Along with using such ploys to keep sales and profits (and therefore stock prices) at high levels, there are accusations that Apple’s software updates make their older products run more slowly, and they always seem to coincide with the release of a new product.
The company gets heated criticism for it’s battery replacement scheme, which costs nearly the same as just buying a new product. Furthermore, Apple’s patented five-point screws are widely suspected to purposefully prevent users from repairing their devices themselves. Apple Inc. also staunchly refuses to comment on whether it uses planned obsolescence as part of their business model. The following video gives a more visual explanation of the ongoing Apple conspiracy.
