DARPA Looks Into Tech Which Can Track All ‘Measurable’ Human Activity
DARPA (Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency) is soliciting companies that will be able to provide technology to the U.S. Department of Defense, with the aim of predicting future “societal unrest” by keeping tabs of all human activities which are in any way ‘measurable’ by digital tools.
This is according to a story posted by FedBizOpps, which outlined DARPA’s intention to fund research and development of what they call “game-changing technologies” that will provide a “decisive information advantage for the U.S. and it’s allies”. It goes on to claim that all human activities which can theoretically be measured, are being quantitatively re-examined in the context of this new “big data” capability for the U.S. government.
